Assistant Relationship Manager - Private Banking

About the role

Julius Baer is hiring an Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) who supports one or more Relationship Managers (RM) and Group Heads (GH) in daily operations, administration and client management. The ARM interacts with internal and external stakeholders, provides clients with relevant information and supports the RM in implementing customised solutions, while also acting as a role model for service quality and channeling client feedback to the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Client administration: support RMs/GH in client interactions, customise client requests such as reports, statistics and mailings, manage calendars, prepare meetings, organise business trips, handle post-processing of calls and meetings, compile presentations and draft investment proposals, and cover for own absences
• Business management: collect and exchange relevant information, plan and document work, support project implementation with the Team Business Manager, propose improvements and manage expense claims for RMs/GH
• Risk and controls: help manage client documentation risks, ensure adherence to local regulations and internal policies, clear pending items and escalate issues, and ensure ethical and compliant behaviour
• Documentation: record client interactions and orders correctly and meaningfully in tools such as CRM and DiAS
• Regulatory: act as a representative under MAS SFA and/or FAA

Required profile

• Natural team player able to relate to colleagues from diverse backgrounds
• Open, approachable, highly service-oriented and systematic, precise and diligent, able to work under pressure
• Personal integrity and ethical behaviour
• Appropriate understanding of Private Banking products and services, basic knowledge of global financial markets, and familiarity with the local legal and regulatory environment
• Representative under MAS SFA and/or FAA
