Assistant Restaurant Manager

Lead the floor, set the vibe and make every guest feel like a VIP. Little Farms isn’t a typical restaurant – we focus on real hospitality, fresh food and feel‑good energy from the first “hello” to the last “see you again soon”.

Key responsibilities

• Create “wow” moments for guests without being cheesy and handle feedback by listening, fixing and delighting.
• Support promotions, activations and special events such as guest chef nights and collaborations.
• Oversee front‑of‑house operations: manage tables, queues, flow, timing and teamwork to keep service tight.
• Maintain the restaurant’s appearance – clean, organized and ready at all times.
• Assist with stock and inventory basics, ensuring accuracy.
• Plan and run events, coordinating with the kitchen and external partners.
• Train, coach and develop the front‑of‑house team, running pre‑shift briefings that energize staff.
• Handle rostering, attendance and smart staffing to match business needs.
• Bridge front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams, fostering collaboration and minimizing drama.
• Support revenue, cost and labour productivity targets and spot improvement opportunities.
• Uphold hygiene and safety standards, coach safe food handling and keep the restaurant audit‑ready.

Required profile

• Clear understanding of what great service looks like and ability to spot gaps early.
• Organised, switched on and calm under pressure.
• Excellent listening skills for guests and teammates.
• Clear, kind communication and ability to build trust without micromanaging.
• Hands‑on, respectful leadership by example.
• Coaching mindset that motivates and keeps energy high.
• Collaborative partner with the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef.
