Assistant Restaurant Manager – North Indian Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in running a North Indian restaurant. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality food and beverage service, controlling costs and driving revenue in line with budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operations, ensuring service, presentation and food quality meet outlet standards.
• Manage cash floats, process sales settlements and operate the Micros POS system.
• Control labour costs by scheduling full‑time and part‑time staff, minimizing reliance on casual labour.
• Monitor inventory, par stocks and equipment maintenance to keep the outlet fully equipped.
• Handle guest relations, resolve complaints and build guest profiles.
• Prepare pre‑shift briefings, oversee staff performance and delegate tasks.
• Contribute to the formulation of the annual operating budget and revenue‑enhancement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in restaurant or food‑and‑beverage operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting and revenue optimisation.
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts and manage a mixed workforce.
• Excellent communication and guest‑service skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Micros POS operating system.
