Assistant Vice President, Insurer Consulting Group

About the role

Marsh is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join its Insurer Consulting Group (ICG) team in Singapore. ICG provides services to insurance carriers, helping them find new opportunities, improve product offerings and increase operational efficiency. The role spans consulting and carrier management practice, with a strong level of autonomy and at least three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Identify project opportunities, manage project frameworks, gather the right data internally and externally, and deliver findings to clients
• Build and maintain relationships with executive management at strategic carriers in Asia
• Contribute to bespoke consulting growth by identifying new opportunities, understanding insurers' needs and scoping projects
• Own project delivery from concept to reporting, combining strategic solutions with tactical execution
• Support carrier management governance, including monthly governance meetings and stakeholder engagement
• Own the knowledge management function in ICG Asia, using and expanding the knowledge directory
• Deliver thought leadership combining macro trends, insurance data and commercial insurance expertise
• Help set and achieve the annual revenue budget for the commercial insurance sector with the Asia team
• Promote ICG's external image through press, articles and presentations, and manage escalated issues in line with compliance

Required profile

• Degree holder with at least 5 years of relevant experience in insurance insights and consulting in Asia
• Good commercial acumen and ability to manage and grow a book of business
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging stakeholders at C-level
• Sound judgment in prioritising competing work and escalating issues
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and change priorities
• Preferred: prior consulting or strategy experience in insurance, and experience across general insurance and employee benefits insurance
