Assistant Vice President - Internal Audit, Wealth (Hybrid)

About the role

Citi's Internal Audit function provides independent assessments of control environment, risk management and governance for the board, senior management and regulators, and is a global function with over 2,500 professionals. It is looking for a high-calibre professional to join the team as Assistant Vice President - Internal Audit for Wealth (Citigold/Citi Private Client and Private Banking), a hybrid position based in Singapore. The role is an intermediate level Senior Auditor position responsible for moderately complex audits and assessments of risk and control environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex audits, draft audit reports, present issues to the business and discuss practical cross-functional solutions
• Complete assigned audits within budgeted timeframes and costs
• Validate issues to assess the adequacy of evidence for closure
• Monitor, assess and recommend solutions to emerging risks
• Contribute to audit process improvements, including automated routines
• Apply internal audit standards, policies and regulations to provide timely audit assurance and influence audit scope
• Develop effective line management relationships and work with limited direct supervision, exercising independent judgement
• Use advanced data analytics, automation and AI/machine learning tools to improve audit efficiency
• Assess risk appropriately, uphold compliance with laws and regulations, and escalate control issues transparently

Required profile

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's or university degree or equivalent experience; preferably a relevant professional qualification such as CPA, CA or CIA
• Subject matter expertise on audits of wealth management and private banking
• Ability to remain unbiased in a diverse environment and collaborate across global teams
