Associate Consultant

About the role

NHG is recruiting an Associate Consultant who will hold comprehensive responsibilities across Clinical, Education, Research and Administration domains. The role sits within a department and involves leading clinical services, supporting patient care, teaching and taking on administrative duties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead intradepartmental and interdepartmental clinical services
• Provide and improve the safety and quality of patient care
• Work closely with fellow healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care
• Teach and mentor junior doctors and other healthcare professionals
• Engage in scholarly activities
• Take part in non-clinical administrative duties
• Accept additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department

Required profile

• Medical qualification from universities or medical institutions listed in the Schedules of the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)
• Eligible for conditional or full registration with the SMC
• Completed specialist training with a postgraduate qualification recognised by the Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB)
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
• Excellent command of spoken and written English; candidates whose basic qualification is not in English must provide proof of English proficiency meeting SMC requirements
