Associate Director / Director, Electrical – High-Rise & Complex Buildings

About the role

Ramboll's High-rise & Complex Buildings team, based in Singapore, delivers over 300 tall building projects worldwide, combining structural, MEP, façade, digital and sustainability expertise. The Technical Director, Electrical is a key member of the Singapore management team, expected to raise Ramboll's profile in Singapore, introduce new clients and strengthen existing relationships, while supporting the unit's strategy and annual business plan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team in designing and delivering electrical systems for high-rise buildings, directing project planning, execution and delivery to Ramboll's quality and efficiency standards.
• Oversee technical drawings, specifications and documentation, and ensure compliance with codes, standards and regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers, represent Ramboll at industry events, and stay current with electrical engineering advances.
• Support the unit's strategy and annual business plan, and help formulate go-to-market strategies aligned with Ramboll APAC Buildings priorities.
• Adopt and contribute to a common project acquisition and technical delivery method for the APAC region.
• Drive initiatives linking design excellence, digitalisation and sustainability, and manage the financial performance of the business.
• Win business with existing clients and develop new ones, especially design collaborators such as external architects, and prepare proposals, negotiate fees and structure project teams.
• Manage day-to-day operations in the Singapore office, keep abreast of industry trends and competitors, and undertake other management tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Qualified Professional Engineer registered with PEB of Singapore.
• Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 15 years' experience, including as a director or in senior management leading at least 20-strong teams.
• Strong business development skills and experience designing and delivering projects in Singapore.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, with strong communication skills.
• International and culturally aware, able to lead diverse, multi-cultural teams.
