Associate Director / Director, Mechanical – High-Rise & Complex Buildings

About the role

Ramboll's High-Rise & Complex Buildings team in Singapore, which covers structural, MEP, façade, digital and sustainability expertise, is recruiting a Technical Director, Mechanical. The role is a key member of the Singapore management team, expected to raise the firm's profile locally, introduce new clients and strengthen existing relationships, while supporting the unit's strategy and annual business plan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical engineering team in designing and delivering mechanical systems for high-rise buildings, directing project planning, execution and delivery to Ramboll's quality and efficiency standards.
• Oversee technical drawings, specifications and documentation, and ensure compliance with codes, standards and regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers, represent the firm at industry events, and manage project budgets, schedules and resources.
• Support business development: win business with existing clients, develop new clients with annual targets, and prepare proposals, negotiate fees and structure project teams.
• Contribute to strategy, including a common project acquisition and delivery method for APAC, and initiatives linking design excellence, digitalisation and sustainability.
• Help increase project profits, manage the financial performance of the business, and oversee day-to-day operations in the Singapore office.

Required profile

• Qualified Professional Engineer registered with PEB Singapore.
• Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 15 years' experience, including as a director or in senior management leading at least 20-strong teams.
• Strong experience designing and delivering projects in Singapore.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead diverse, multi-cultural and international teams and to act with integrity and independence.
