Associate Director / Director – Operations & Finance

About the role

IMAS is seeking an experienced Associate Director/Director to lead daily operational activities, drive process improvements, and oversee finance, HR, and administration functions. The role will also support major industry initiatives and events.

Key responsibilities

• Review and adjust internal processes to support IMAS’s expanding scope, ensuring operational, financial, administrative, and HR readiness.
• Automate manual HR, finance, and operational workflows through technology transformation.
• Implement and strengthen internal controls, collaborating with external vendors on IT security and process enhancements.
• Lead event coordination for major industry conferences, managing planners, speakers, and sponsors.
• Oversee office administration, including landlord relations, tenancy renewals, and vendor management.
• Partner with the CEO and Treasurer to develop the annual budget, improve cash management, and lead financial close and reporting.
• Manage recruitment, hiring, and HR policy updates.
• Operationalise membership and sponsorship acquisition strategies.
• Supervise the education portal iLearn, handling finance and growth planning.
• Liaise with IMAS committees to ensure regular meetings and effective collaboration.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of strong operations experience with solid finance and accounting knowledge.
• Mature, motivated individual with an agile and flexible mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
