Associate Director Institutional NFR – Transaction Banking Digital

About the role

The Associate Director Institutional NFR – Transaction Banking Digital will act as a trusted non‑financial risk partner for ANZ’s Transaction Banking products. The role supports safe, sustainable and customer‑focused growth across Payments, Cash Management, Trade and Digital Payments. It involves overseeing risk across the product, platform and client lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide risk guidance to product, sales, implementation, operations, technology and digital delivery teams.
• Challenge and advise on risk profiles, control effectiveness and customer outcomes for Payments, Cash Management, Trade and Digital Payments.
• Identify, assess, monitor and report material non‑financial risks across the end‑to‑end product and client lifecycle.
• Drive risk oversight across operational, technology, cyber, data, fraud, financial crime, third‑party, conduct and resilience domains.
• Contribute to strengthening the control environment and regulatory readiness for Transaction Banking digital capabilities.
• Support product design, change execution, client implementation and delivery risk management.
• Capture incident learnings and ensure timely escalation of material risk matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in non‑financial risk management within a banking or financial services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with product, technology, operations and digital teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication capabilities.
• Ability to influence and provide constructive challenge on risk matters.
• Knowledge of regulatory expectations for Transaction Banking products.
