Associate Executive - Accounts Receivable, Business Office

About the role

The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) in Singapore is looking for an Associate Executive to support its Accounts Receivable (AR) work within the Finance (Business Office) department. The role is based in the clinic and involves following up with patients on outstanding bills, understanding their situations and guiding them toward suitable payment or financial assistance options.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with patients about their outstanding bills in a professional and empathetic way
• Work with Medical Social Workers to refer patients who may need financial help
• Track follow-ups, keep simple records and update status in the system
• Coordinate with front counter staff and 1FSS colleagues where necessary
• Support other AR-related administrative tasks as assigned

Required profile

• Diploma holder in any discipline
• Good communication skills and patience in handling sensitive conversations; comfortable speaking with patients in person
• Able to work independently and follow up diligently
• Experience in AR, customer service or a healthcare setting is an advantage

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
