Associate Executive - Simulation and Clinical Training Centre

About the role

Woodlands Hospital is looking for an Associate Executive to support the Simulation and Clinical Training Centre (SCTC) and Surgical Skills Lab (SSL). This is a hands-on operational role that works closely with clinical leads, educators, vendors and internal stakeholders to keep training facilities, simulation equipment and biological specimens properly managed and maintained, so that healthcare professionals and trainees can learn safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of simulation and training equipment such as high-fidelity patient simulators, task trainers, audiovisual systems and educational technologies, and carry out routine inspections and calibration support.
• Prepare simulation rooms, laboratories and learning spaces for workshops and training, and keep facilities, storage areas and equipment inventory clean and ready.
• Prepare, handle and store biological specimens for surgical skills training, and maintain freezers and refrigeration units.
• Maintain inventory records for equipment, consumables and educational resources, monitor stock levels and support procurement and asset management.
• Support departmental projects and initiatives, and partner with the People & Organisation Development team on cross-functional projects.

Required profile

• Diploma qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare or training environment.
• Experience in simulation centre operations, healthcare education support or healthcare facilities management is advantageous.
• Experience handling biological or cadaveric specimens and/or simulation equipment is highly regarded.
• Able to perform occasional weekend duties; knowledge of safe handling of heavy or bulky equipment is advantageous.
