Associate – External Relationship Management, SEA Institutional Clients

About the role

BlackRock’s Southeast Asia Institutional Client Business is seeking an Associate to support relationship management and business development with key institutional investors across the region. Based in Singapore, you will help deepen commercial engagement with existing clients and identify new opportunities by understanding client needs, market trends, and BlackRock’s investment platform.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution and ongoing management of institutional client relationships in partnership with senior team members.
• Respond promptly to client queries, addressing product and investment‑related requests while aligning with each client’s objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including investment teams, COO, legal & compliance, contracting, and operations—to deliver superior outcomes.
• Leverage BlackRock’s tools and analytics to identify assets at risk and propose alternative solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, activities, and opportunities in the CRM system.
• Develop market, client, and industry insights using internal and external resources.
• Provide analysis and information to support business development initiatives within the institutional segment.
• Partner senior relationship managers to deliver timely, tailored market insights to clients.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in institutional client relationship management or business development.
• Strong understanding of institutional investors (sovereign wealth funds, central banks, pension funds) and financial markets.
• Ability to work closely with senior team members and cross‑functional internal partners.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a client‑focused mindset.
• Based in Singapore and able to work on‑site.
