Associate General Counsel, Infrastructure & Telecom

About the role

Meta is looking for an experienced commercial transactions lawyer to lead contract negotiations for the build‑out and operation of critical network infrastructure across the Asia‑Pacific region. The role involves close collaboration with legal, tax, finance and technical teams to ensure contracts align with the company’s risk appetite and policy framework.

Key responsibilities

• Structure, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements supporting Meta’s network expansion, including subsea cable joint‑build agreements, system supply contracts, telecommunications service terms, colocation agreements and dark‑fibre leases.
• Partner with internal finance, tax, compliance and external counsel to tailor contract documentation to deployment needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners across multiple jurisdictions.
• Leverage AI tools to increase productivity in contract drafting, research and review.

Required profile

• Law degree and a current practising certificate in a common‑law jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of post‑qualification experience in commercial transactions, infrastructure or telecommunications law.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑border transactions in the APAC region and familiarity with local telecom regulatory frameworks.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and strategic business judgement.

• Experience using AI for legal research and workflow automation.
