Associate, Investment Banking Structuring & Execution

About the role

DBS Global Financial Markets (GFM), an Asian leader in treasury operations, is hiring an Associate for its Investment Banking Structuring & Execution function covering Global Financial Markets. The role sits within the debt and equity franchise and supports deal origination, execution, marketing and settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Marketing support: help identify and develop business opportunities to secure mandates from regional entities raising debt and/or equity funds, and prepare marketing pitches, corporate financial analyses, building valuation models and financial models.
• Deal execution: support deal origination and execution, prepare project documentation, analyse industry and market trends, do research, write investment summaries and prepare transaction presentations.
• Drive transaction workstreams: coordinate activities to track the agreed timetable, identify key issues and propose solutions, seek regulatory clearance and plan marketing programmes.
• Coordinating settlement matters.
• Prepare market update reports.
• Data and information processing: data mining, updating and creating relevant databases.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in DCM/ECM transactions.
• Knowledge of debt, equity and/or equity-related new issue processes across the product spectrum.
• Interest in and aptitude for fundamental analysis, financial statements and valuation.
• Analytical, problem-solving, team player who can multi-task, is proactive and self-motivated, and willing to learn and follow through.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Good knowledge of Bloomberg.
• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
