Associate Java Developer – Global Transaction Banking (Payments & Cash Management)

About the role

Join the Global Transaction Banking IT team to design and deliver modern Java‑based microservices supporting payments and cash management across Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java microservices using Spring Boot.
• Build REST APIs and integrate via messaging queues such as ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Contribute to architecture and integration design.
• Automate DevOps tasks with Python (e.g., PyInfra) and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage services with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with PostgreSQL and ensure efficient data handling.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide production support, including compensated on‑call rotation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners and management.
• Lead code quality initiatives, unit testing, Git best practices and documentation.
• Manage vendor issues and delivery tracking.

Required profile

• Strong Java experience, preferably with Spring Boot.
• Unix/Linux proficiency.
• Expertise in Git version control.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS.
• Strong analytical and delivery mindset.
• Fluent English communication; autonomous and a team player.

Required skills

• Python for DevOps (e.g., PyInfra).
• Jenkins or comparable CI/CD tools.
• Exposure to banking or payment systems.
