Audit Director – Lead Audit Engagements

About the role

As Audit Director/Partner at Joe Tan & Associates PAC Chartered Accountants, you will lead and manage a portfolio of audit engagements for clients across diverse industries. Based in our central Singapore office, this full‑time role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of audit quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and oversee the execution of audit engagements for a portfolio of clients, ensuring adherence to professional and firm standards.
• Review and assess the work of audit teams, providing coaching, mentoring and on‑the‑job training to junior staff.
• Liaise with clients to understand their business, identify key risk areas and deliver insightful recommendations.
• Prepare and present high‑quality audit reports and financial statements to clients.
• Participate in firm‑wide initiatives to enhance audit quality, processes and thought leadership.
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and presentations.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience in external audit, preferably within a reputable accounting firm.
• Proven track record of successfully managing audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio.
• Professional qualification in Accountancy.
