Automation Engineer – MES & Electrical

About the role

As an Automation Engineer you will support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Electrical & Automation (E&A) activities across the plant, ensuring projects meet quality, safety and performance standards. You will work on capital investment projects, continuous improvement initiatives and asset reliability while upholding Nestlé’s health, safety and environmental commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in capital investment projects, preparing user and technical specifications, coordinating requirements, overseeing solution development, testing, implementation and training.
• Drive continuous improvement by mastering process and product characteristics, enhancing quality, safety and efficiency while protecting technological know‑how.
• Ensure process and equipment safety, implement engineering tools (NSAT, NEST, AMM) and support maintenance & improvement activities to maintain asset reliability.
• Execute market strategy for MES, electricity and automation in line with corporate standards and best engineering practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as an Automation and/or MES engineer with electrical background.
• Experience supervising technical teams, contractors or third‑party personnel.
• Proven participation in multidisciplinary engineering projects, including start‑up of equipment or production lines.
• Self‑management with defined KPIs/objectives and proactive tracking.
• Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and execution (desired but not required).
