Automation Strategy Analyst – Warehouse Robotics (Singapore)

About the role

Applied Materials is hiring an Automation Engineer to support robotics and automation initiatives within its global warehouse operations in Singapore. The role will design, implement and program‑manage automation systems, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver scalable solutions that boost operational efficiency and throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Support development of automation solutions for logistics operations, including material handling, sorting and inventory workflows; participate in feasibility studies, business cases, prototyping and validation testing.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, operations and IT teams, and engage external vendors to integrate automation systems.
• Own portions of the BU Automation Strategy roadmap, execute initiatives and report results to management, ensuring reliability, safety and performance in high‑volume environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Automation Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with robotic arms and end‑of‑arm tooling, and exposure to robotics system integration and testing in operational environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities and proven ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, collaborative settings.
