Aviation Associate – Banking & Finance

About the role

We are seeking an Associate to join our market‑leading Aviation team within the Banking & Finance practice in Singapore. The role offers hands‑on training, responsibility for complex cross‑border aviation financing and leasing transactions, and the chance to develop into a well‑rounded aviation finance lawyer.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with colleagues and clients on complex, cross‑border aviation finance transactions.
• Take ownership of key workstreams throughout the full lifecycle of financing and leasing matters.
• Develop and draft conditions precedent, ancillary documents, and financing agreements.
• Act for airlines, lessors and banks on purchase orders, finance and operating leases, securitisations and restructuring.
• Collaborate with colleagues in other offices on joint transactions.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' post‑qualification experience, qualified in Singapore, England & Wales or an equivalent common‑law jurisdiction.
• Prior experience in aviation finance matters is mandatory.
• Strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent legal drafting and written communication skills.
• Highly organised, capable of managing conditions precedent and ancillary documents.
• Proactive, ownership‑driven mindset with strong initiative.
• Excellent management and organisational abilities.
• Strong academic background and willingness to learn.
