AVP Fullstack Developer (Tech Lead), Institutional Banking

About the role

DBS is hiring an AVP Fullstack Developer (Tech Lead) in its Group Technology function, which manages most of the bank's operational processes and delivers banking services across multiple channels. The role bridges business objectives with technology solutions and oversees end-to-end project delivery, aligning business requirements with technical implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Business analysis: partner with stakeholders to understand objectives and pain points, turn them into technical requirements and designs, and run feasibility studies and impact analyses.
• Project management: lead planning, execution and delivery of technology projects within scope, budget and timeline, managing risks, dependencies and resources, using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methods.
• Leadership and governance: drive collaboration between business units, technology teams and vendors, set up governance for tracking, reporting and compliance, and mentor BA and PM teams.
• Stakeholder engagement: report progress, risks and outcomes to senior leadership and manage stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in technology projects, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Certifications such as PMP, CBAP or Agile (Scrum Master/SAFe) are highly desirable.

Required skills

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience with Java, microservices, databases, application servers and JBoss.
• Expertise in technology platforms, digital transformation and enterprise systems.
• Analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
