AVP/VP, FX & Commodities Wealth Specialist

About the role

The candidate will join the Wealth Management Solutions (WMS) team in Singapore, within Global Financial Markets (GFM). The team drives FX and commodities sales and the product journey for DBS's wealth segments (Private Bank, Treasures Private Client and Treasures). The role is based in DBS Asia Central and is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Use deep knowledge of FX and commodities markets and derivative products to generate and present trade ideas suited to client needs, risk profile and market themes, in line with house view.
• Ensure seamless execution, order management and post-trade management of trades such as spot, forwards, OTC structures and structured notes.
• Drive franchise building by developing new products and client journeys to grow the FX and commodities business.
• Build and maintain relationships with relationship managers, investment counsellors, FX advisors, spot traders, option traders and the structuring team.
• Stay up to date on market trends, regulations and market intelligence to spot opportunities.
• Take digital, data and AI initiatives for the desk and ensure compliance with internal guidelines.
• Train relationship managers, ARMs and investment counsellors and mentor junior sales staff.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of FX and commodities derivatives sales experience in a global markets or private banking setup.
• Expertise in FX and commodities products (spot, forward, swaps, OTC options, structured notes, complex FX derivatives) and macro drivers across asset classes.
• Experience in multi-asset and QIS is a bonus.
• Innovative, willing to challenge the status quo and drive change.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for pitching products to senior management, relationship managers, investment counsellors, FX advisors and clients.
