AVP/VP Relationship Manager, DEG/NBFI, Midcap

About the role

DBS's Institutional Banking Group (IBG) serves corporate clients with commercial and investment banking solutions, including cash management, treasury and FX services, credit, capital markets and M&A advisory. The role is to partner with MidCap non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) and innovative Fintech and new economy companies across Asia, helping them grow. You will work closely with senior team members to onboard clients, analyse them in depth, perform due diligence and structure transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and initiate account strategies for existing and new portfolios, and complete account plans in target markets through business development and collaboration with internal partners.
• Penetrate products and cross-sell IBG services such as capital markets, transaction banking and treasury, and support clients' cash management needs.
• Prepare financial models with P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow projections.
• Analyse debt, equity advisory, cash management and transaction banking opportunities, and assist in drafting termsheets, negotiating terms and executing transactions.
• Manage and acquire new NBFI and DEG relationships to grow revenue and portfolio.
• Stay up to date on NBFI and new economy trends, competition, compliance and regulation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in a commercial or investment bank, venture capital fund, new economy start-up or accounting firm, with expertise in credit risk assessment and debt deal structuring.
• Strong network among new economy companies, founders and venture capital funds; knowledge of the NBFI sector is an advantage.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multinational environment and to manage multiple priorities independently.
