Backend Data Engineer – Data Pipelines for Chip Verification

About the role

Join our web development team supporting chip verification as a Backend Data Engineer. You will design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that handle metrics from physical verification outputs in the semiconductor design flow, enabling faster and smarter decision‑making for tape‑out processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable pipelines to ingest, parse, and aggregate data from EDA tools and MongoDB.
• Collaborate with web developers to embed processed data into dashboards and reporting tools.
• Design and manage databases tracking job metrics, violation summaries, and run metadata.
• Automate reporting and alerting for regressions, failure trends, and job status.
• Optimize storage and retrieval of large log files, job results, and associated metadata.
• Maintain and improve log‑parsing scripts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python for data processing.
• Hands‑on experience with big‑data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, and ClickHouse.
