Backend Engineer – Java, Spring Boot, Apache Camel

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance services using Java and Spring Boot. The role focuses on building robust integrations with Apache Camel and delivering scalable RESTful APIs that meet security and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Build and manage system integrations and messaging workflows with Apache Camel.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend components with emphasis on scalability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Perform unit and integration testing and support automated testing pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure system reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support deployment and monitoring in cloud or containerized environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8 or higher.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, dependency injection, and security.
• Solid experience with Apache Camel for enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Good grasp of software design principles and backend best practices.
