BIM Technician

About the role

Arup is seeking a BIM Technician to support multi‑disciplinary building services projects. The role focuses on creating high‑quality BIM models, data, and documentation while collaborating with engineers and modellers in a virtual design environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate BIM models, data, and project documentation for building services projects.
• Produce drawings, perform modelling, and manage multidisciplinary coordination during design and construction phases.
• Facilitate virtual design reviews, identify clashes, and work with teams to resolve coordination issues.
• Provide Revit technical expertise to modellers and engineers.
• Monitor compliance with Common Data Environment (CDE) standards and project BIM protocols.
• Collaborate with teams across Singapore and Southeast Asia to support work‑sharing initiatives.
• Promote BIM best practices, digital workflows, and emerging technologies within the team.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in Engineering, Design, Drafting or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of BIM modelling or drafting experience in a consulting engineering or contractor environment.
• Strong proficiency in Revit MEP and solid understanding of multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
• Experience with BIM and coordination platforms such as Navisworks, Solibri, Clarity, Autodesk Forma, Trimble Connect and BCF collaboration tools.
• Good understanding of building project coordination requirements across multiple disciplines.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, CDE workflows; exposure to openBIM methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
