Bookshop Sales Assistant

About the role

BL Marketing is looking for a friendly and dedicated Bookshop Sales Assistant to run the day‑to‑day operations of a school bookshop. You will work independently, providing excellent service to students, parents, and staff while managing inventory and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the bookshop
• Manage sales and deliver high‑quality customer service
• Order and maintain inventory of books and stationery supplies
• Coordinate annual year‑end sales and stock ordering
• Keep the bookshop clean, organized, and presentable

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Responsible, reliable, with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior retail experience in a similar trade is an advantage
• Basic administration or accounting knowledge is a plus
• Available Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (subject to location)
• Willingness to work during school calendar with no leave during peak periods (Nov/Dec)
