Building Construction Project Engineer

About the role

You will support the Manager in strategic planning and operational oversight of construction projects, ensuring smooth execution from installation to hand‑over. The role involves coordinating multiple teams, managing documentation, and upholding safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of assigned construction projects.
• Organise and execute work assignments within the project team.
• Take corrective actions for any non‑conformance issues.
• Review outgoing correspondence from supervisors to customers.
• Coordinate with BA, Engineering, QA, and Design on delivery schedules, part shortages, and defects.
• Review and justify purchase requisitions for materials and services.
• Assist in designing new work instructions and forms to improve quality and efficiency.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of tools and instruments used by installers.
• Support the maintenance and updating of Installation Manuals and Installation Check Records.
• Distribute installation drawings, ICR and QADL to installers.
• Promote adherence to environmental policies and pollution‑prevention measures.
• Conduct regular safety patrols and enforce workplace health and safety regulations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager or senior management.

Required profile

• Experience in supervising construction or installation projects.
• Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to review technical documentation and purchase requisitions.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and attention to detail.
