Building Construction Project Engineer

About the role

The Building Construction Project Engineer will lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction projects, ensuring milestones are met while maintaining safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor Master and short‑term construction programmes to meet project milestones.
• Evaluate construction techniques and method statements to optimise efficiency and safety.
• Perform simple design calculations to support technical decisions during execution.
• Oversee daily project operations, resolve issues promptly, and ensure progress aligns with plans.
• Supervise project progress, ensuring compliance with drawings, certifications, and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve technical problems on site to minimise delays and cost overruns.
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors across projects for seamless collaboration and task completion.
• Implement and oversee the Project Quality Plan to maintain high standards.
• Enforce safety regulations and promote good housekeeping practices on site.
• Manage claim processing and finalisation to support project financial closure.
