Business Analyst - Data Migration (Banking)

About the role

A contract Business Analyst position in a bank in Singapore, recruited through Manpower. The role supports data migration to a new system, working with stakeholders to define strategies, map data and run migrations across several waves.

Key responsibilities

• Help end users define the data migration strategy and approach
• Lead and develop data mapping between source and target systems
• Manage overall data migration activities in line with MVP implementation in the new system
• Set up data requirement change management
• Contribute to data pipeline architecture decisions and implement a standard data feed for multiple migration waves
• Assess data quality and apply data cleansing where needed
• Assist in analysing, designing and testing ETL processes
• Run data migration audits, reconciliations and exception reporting
• Develop data verification plans for trial runs and trigger planning sessions to resolve risks and concerns
• Contribute to change impact analysis and help build the team's data migration capabilities

Required profile

• Degree in information technology or a related discipline
• Experience migrating and testing static and transactional data between core systems
• Experience in data profiling and mapping
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate well with business intuition
• Life insurance experience is good to have; knowledge of RLS system data architecture is good to have

Required skills

• SQL and relational databases
• Some software programming experience preferred
