Business Development Assistant Manager

About the role

The Business Development Assistant Manager will support the Head Office in China by handling tender documentation, conducting market research and maintaining project databases for a leading railway construction group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and compile all pre‑qualification and tender documents, including Tender/PQ requirements, Contract Award, Extension of Time requests and Form of Tender.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, gather early project information and monitor competitor activities.
• Maintain a knowledge storehouse of client and project data, updating lists for pre‑qualification, tendering and completed projects.
• Assist in preparing project strategy sheets and collecting client financial reports.
• Provide regular evaluations, findings and project results to the Head Office in China.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction and/or engineering industry.
• Well‑versed in construction project processes and requirements across the Asia‑Pacific region.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and meet deadlines under stress.
