Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth for our freight forwarding services, focusing on acquiring new clients across Singapore and intra‑Asia markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to support company growth and attract new clients locally and within intra‑Asia.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities in the logistics sector.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients to generate sales leads.
• Serve as the primary contact for client enquiries, resolving concerns to enhance satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales and internal teams to prepare proposals and presentations that meet client needs.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and service providers.
• Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Monitor industry trends, carrier performance, and market conditions for sales planning.
• Prepare and present regular sales reports to management.
• Participate in tenders, RFQs, and bids as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Relevant experience in business development or sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and drive business growth.
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
