Business Development Manager – Ground & Rail Logistics

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth for the Ground & Rail logistics segment across Singapore and Malaysia. You will identify, develop and secure new opportunities in cross‑border trucking, domestic distribution and related ground transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve individual sales and gross‑margin targets by managing the full sales cycle for all Ground & Rail customer segments.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
• Promote the full suite of ground products, including FTL, LTL, milk‑run and last‑mile delivery.
• Collaborate with operations, pricing, product and customs compliance teams to deliver competitive, customer‑centric solutions.
• Lead negotiations and contract closures while ensuring profitability and compliance.
• Monitor market trends, customer feedback and competitor activity to refine commercial strategy.
• Foster long‑term relationships to support retention, upselling and expansion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in logistics or related industry.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical abilities.
• Ability to adapt and solve problems in a fast‑changing environment.
