Business Development Manager – International Clients

About the role

The Business Development Manager – International Clients will drive new client acquisition and deepen relationships with existing priority clients for Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore. You will work closely with the Priority Banking team to meet sales targets and expand market share across Greater China and other international segments.

Key responsibilities

• Source and acquire new-to-bank high‑net‑worth (HNW) clients, focusing on the Greater China market.
• Conduct consultative financial analysis and profiling sessions to match customers’ objectives with banking solutions.
• Provide regular market updates, trend analysis and product information on Treasury, Equities, Funds and Insurance.
• Develop and execute monthly sales plans in collaboration with the PB team manager, branch manager and PTL.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities, organise group presentations and solicit referrals from internal stakeholders.
• Deliver high‑quality after‑sales service, manage client retention and anti‑attrition initiatives.
• Coordinate cross‑departmentally to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing servicing of clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of client acquisition experience in banking or financial services.
• Diploma holder with strong prospecting and networking abilities.
• Experience managing HNW accounts and familiarity with the Greater China market.
• Proficiency in Mandarin to support Chinese‑language clients.
• Solid understanding of consumer banking products such as Treasury, Equities, Funds and Insurance.
