Business Systems Analyst

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Business Systems Analyst who conducts business process analyses, needs assessments and preliminary cost/benefit analyses to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. The role covers writing functional specifications, preparing project plans and schedules, and acting as escalation point for troubleshooting issues.

Key responsibilities

• Write functional specifications of user needs for application development, enhancements and testing, and prepare functional, systems and program specifications
• Analyse user requirements, procedures and problems to improve existing systems, and conduct inquiries on new information systems
• Prepare project plans and implementation schedules, provide status updates and recommend or conduct training
• Maintain documentation, share knowledge with other Jabil facilities and exchange ideas within the department
• Identify ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes, and drive continuous improvement through trend reporting and metrics management
• Maintain good relationships with customers, vendors and employees, and serve as escalation point for troubleshooting
• Ensure adherence to IT and company policies, including security, health, safety and quality, and keep data and proprietary information confidential

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of work experience in a related position, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
• Thorough knowledge of emerging or job-relevant technologies, with willingness to pursue professional development

Required skills

• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication and customer service skills, able to present to customers and colleagues
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic and schedule-based instructions
