Buyer (B3)

About the role

The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, machinery and services that equip Applied Materials' state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate across teams, monitor inventory, manage delivery scheduling and negotiate with suppliers to turn possibilities into realities for customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality.
• Execute and manage pull‑ins/push‑outs with suppliers to meet MRP demand.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to resolve supply issues with engineering, manufacturing and program managers.
• Drive purchasing activities to obtain the lowest cost while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Lead inventory and expense reduction efforts and manage purchasing projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–4 years of procurement or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to lead small projects and build consensus.
