Buyer (B3)

About the role

The Buyer (B3) will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, machinery and services that equip Applied Materials' state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate across teams, manage inventory, schedule deliveries and negotiate with suppliers to turn possibilities into realities for customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality.
• Execute and manage pull‑ins/push‑outs with suppliers to meet MRP demand.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to resolve supply issues with engineering, manufacturing, program managers and supplier account management.
• Drive purchasing activities to obtain the lowest cost while maintaining quality, reliability and urgency.
• Lead inventory and E&Z reduction efforts and manage assigned purchasing projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–4 years of purchasing or supply‑chain experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices and market drivers.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to lead small projects and build consensus.
