Buyer – Global Order Operations

About the role

The Buyer joins the Global Order Operations team at World Wide Technology, supporting Inside Sales, Account Managers, Order Management, Program Managers, suppliers and end‑user customers. The role ensures that items and services purchased from approved suppliers are delivered on time and according to agreed terms.

Key responsibilities

• Process requisitions and place purchase orders on a daily basis.
• Coordinate shipment of drop‑ship and cross‑dock orders.
• Participate in customer reviews, draft and present data‑based key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers to reduce costs of material introductions and phase‑outs.
• Serve as the primary procurement contact for assigned projects.
• Manage non‑conformance parts, returns and RTV processes.
• Work with Finance and suppliers to resolve invoice backlogs and discrepancies.
• Support various customer inquiries related to procurement.

Required profile

• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in procurement or purchasing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
