C++ Software Developer - Data Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a skilled C++ Software Developer to join a high‑performance Data Infrastructure team. You will design, build, and maintain microservices that enable large‑scale data storage, retrieval, and processing for research and analytics within a leading financial services group.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain C++‑based microservices for data infrastructure.
• Improve software performance and scalability for optimized data processing.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues to ensure stability and reliability.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to high development standards.
• Collaborate with support teams to streamline deployment and operations.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of data processing pipelines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience developing software in C++.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices and asynchronous multithreaded applications.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with data serialization formats such as Apache Arrow, Parquet, Protocol Buffers, or Flatbuffers.
• Experience with gRPC, HTTP/REST, and WebSocket protocols.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Background in distributed systems and large‑scale datasets.
• Additional proficiency in Rust is a plus.
