CAD Operator – Detailed Design & Drafting

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Operator to develop detailed drawings and layout plans using computer‑assisted drafting tools. The role involves translating specifications, sketches, and engineering data into accurate design documents that support construction and M&E works.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed scale plans for civil, structural and M&E projects based on preliminary concepts, calculations and specification sheets.
• Maintain a monthly master list of drawings to ensure information accuracy.
• Review and analyse specifications, sketches and related data to identify design factors and guidelines.
• Compute mathematical formulas to develop detailed specifications for equipment and systems.
• Modify and revise designs to address operating deficiencies and improve clarity.
• Prepare and issue shop drawings, as‑built drawings and construction drawings in line with engineers’ requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in CAD drafting or design.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Experience in design management, steel structure detailing and design development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Experience with BIM tools.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office suite.
