CAP Summer Associate - Asia (2027)

About the role

CAP is a highly selective, immersive early-career programme at Capital Group, designed for students who want to explore complex investment questions through rigorous research. It is not a typical internship: you will investigate real-world investment topics, develop well-reasoned perspectives and contribute to the firm's long-term investment thinking. The Asia cohort includes a Singapore group alongside London and Los Angeles.

Key responsibilities

• Own an end-to-end investment research project: frame the question, carry out deep analysis and present clear, well-supported conclusions to senior investors.
• Work closely with analysts and portfolio managers to understand how qualitative and quantitative analysis and independent thinking feed into investment decisions.
• Share your own research approach, explore ideas in depth and produce analyses that inform the investment dialogue.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or master's students (non-MBA) graduating between December 2027 and July 2028.
• Strong quantitative problem-solving and fast learning, with a record of exceptional academic achievement.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and to balance rigorous academics with other commitments.
• Proven teamwork and leadership in academic, professional or extracurricular settings.
• Demonstrated interest in investing and a distinctive perspective.
