Cash Processor (Cashier)

About the role

Brink's Singapore, a division of The Brink's Company, is looking for a Cash Processor to work in its branch locations. The role carries out the cash accounting work that keeps commerce moving: verifying bank deposits, preparing cash shipments and connecting money from one place to another. It is described as a busy, impactful position where the team totals the day's balance and keeps ATMs filled.

Key responsibilities

• Process, verify, reconcile and report inbound and outbound currency transactions, escalating discrepancies to the shift supervisor or team leader
• Complete data entry for all transactions and prepare outbound currency orders and replenishments
• Process check imaging into Nautilus, BTMS and VTM
• Identify and promptly report discrepancies to maintain financial integrity
• Follow all Brink's security controls, SOPs and safe working procedures, including cleaning stations, bundling trash, sorting deposit slips and printing check manifests so deposits match
• Ensure imaged work and teller paperwork is delivered or filed correctly and that paperwork provides audit trails
• Complete checklists for each major function by their deadlines and uphold a culture of safety, customer focus, integrity and continuous improvement

• Time management, organisational skills and adaptability to a fast-paced environment with short lead times
• Team player with integrity, ownership and accountability
• Ability to stand for long periods and to lift 22 kg (50 lb) or more

Preferred qualifications

• Previous banking or professional finance experience
• Knowledge of operational administrative processes
• Experience operating a cash counting machine for notes and coins
