Chef – Menu Planning & Kitchen Management

About the role

ROAST & TOAST PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Chef to lead menu creation, recipe development and overall kitchen operations across its island‑wide locations in Singapore. The role combines creative culinary work with strong leadership to ensure every dish meets high standards of taste, presentation and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and design seasonal menus that align with brand concepts.
• Develop new recipes and refine existing ones to enhance flavor and visual appeal.
• Oversee food preparation and plating to guarantee consistency and quality.
• Manage inventory, control costs and monitor waste to meet budget targets.
• Train, schedule and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to hygiene protocols.
• Enforce health, safety and food‑safety regulations throughout the kitchen.
• Conduct regular quality checks and address any issues promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing kitchen teams.
• Creative mindset with keen attention to detail in both flavor and presentation.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Experience in budgeting and cost control.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of a busy kitchen.
