Chemistry Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This remote, hourly contract position is for a Chemistry Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee the quality and consistency of AI‑generated chemistry training data. You will evaluate content and trainer work against detailed rubrics, provide precise feedback, and ensure contributors meet high scientific standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated chemistry content and trainer/QA outputs for scientific accuracy, calculation correctness, reaction logic, unit consistency, safety, and clarity.
• Provide written feedback aligned with project guidelines and maintain documentation of quality issues.
• Identify recurring quality problems, communicate updates to trainers and QAs, and support onboarding of new contributors.
• Monitor contributor performance, activate inconsistent workers, and help maintain a high‑quality expert network.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, Biochemistry, Materials Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or a closely related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in chemistry research, laboratory work, teaching, scientific writing, technical review, quality control, formulation, or analytical chemistry.
• Strong command of English for clear scientific communication.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of general, organic, inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry and biochemistry.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and spot errors such as incorrect assumptions, flawed calculations, unsafe recommendations, missing units, or hallucinated facts.
• Familiarity with spectroscopy interpretation and standard analytical methods.
