Chief Facilities Manager

About the role

The Chief Facilities Manager leads the Integrated Facility Management (IFM) services for Republic Polytechnic’s campus, ensuring seamless operation, maintenance, and safety across all managed spaces. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on management of diverse facility teams and external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day integrated operations of multiple campus facilities, guaranteeing uninterrupted service delivery.
• Manage and mentor a multi‑disciplinary workforce, including senior managers, supervisors, technical officers, and support staff.
• Supervise IFM technical staff, specialists, and contracted parties across all service disciplines.
• Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring resources meet operational, maintenance, and improvement needs.
• Identify cost‑benefit opportunities and mitigate potential delays or budget overruns.
• Coordinate with external service providers to meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs, health‑and‑safety compliance, and eco‑friendly practices.
• Lead facility improvement, renovation, and project delivery from conception to completion.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in facilities or campus management.
• Strong track record of budget management and cost‑benefit analysis.
• Ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior management.
