Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the role

A product‑led software company building AI‑powered solutions for global customers is seeking a hands‑on Chief Technology Officer. The CTO will shape technology strategy, work closely with founders and product leaders, and scale AI capabilities and engineering culture.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end technology direction across AI products, core platforms, and engineering delivery, from roadmap to production.
• Build, mentor, and scale teams of AI Engineers, AI Product Managers, and Senior Software Engineers; define hiring standards and organizational design.
• Lead architecture decisions for cloud‑native, data‑intensive, AI‑enabled systems, balancing speed, scalability, and cost.
• Partner with Product and Commercial leaders to translate customer problems into deployable AI features with measurable outcomes.
• Establish engineering best practices across the software development lifecycle, MLOps/LLMOps, security, reliability, and responsible AI usage.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with senior leadership roles (CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering) in product companies or scale‑ups.
• Proven track record delivering production AI features such as ML models, LLM‑powered systems, and data platforms.
• Direct experience hiring and managing AI engineers and AI product leaders in high‑growth environments.
• Strong technical foundation in modern software architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, data pipelines, and AI deployment workflows.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a builder mindset and accountability for both technical and business outcomes.
