Civil/Structural Construction Specialist III – Mining Inspector

About the role

Worley is seeking a Civil/Structural Construction Specialist III to act as a Specialist Mining Inspector in Singapore. You will oversee both temporary and permanent mining works, ensuring they meet all regulatory, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection and close‑standing supervision of all mining construction activities.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and monitor compliance with health‑and‑safety policies.
• Inspect and supervise modifications, additional works and rectifications.
• Review contractor daily checklists, logs and records for excavation and construction tasks.
• Verify adequacy of equipment, manpower and material resources on site.
• Report progress, ground condition deviations and alerts to the SME.
• Ensure contractor and subcontractors comply with LTA PPE requirements and safety checklists.
• Report any incidents to the SRE/RE.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising box tunnels near existing bored tunnels and MRT stations.
• Hands‑on knowledge of trenchless construction methods such as micro‑tunnelling, front jacking, faceless tunnelling, mining methods and box jacking.
• Familiarity with the Building Control Act and relevant authority requirements.
• Ability to ensure works follow contract specifications, approved method statements, safety requirements and programme schedules.
