Client Engagement Executive – Shelter Operations

About the role

The Client Engagement Executive will support New Hope Community Services’ shelter operations, ensuring the safety, well‑being and smooth day‑to‑day experience of displaced and disadvantaged residents. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, volunteers and external agencies, you will act as a key liaison between residents and the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise resident admissions, record enquiries, complaints and feedback, and manage rental fee collection and arrears.
• Coordinate conflict resolution, organise mediation sessions, issue warning and reminder letters, and follow up investigations.
• Conduct regular unit inspections, document incidents, liaise with police and government agencies, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Manage vendor relationships, oversee unit maintenance, procure supplies, and support external contractors and pest‑control services.
• Maintain accurate administrative records, generate weekly, monthly and ad‑hoc reports for HDB, and track rental payments.
• Organise and supervise volunteer activities, coordinate donations, and assist with procurement for community events.

Required profile

• Minimum degree or diploma in a relevant discipline with at least 2 years of experience in community or shelter services.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership and teamwork abilities, and a self‑motivated, independent work ethic.
• Willingness to work shift hours, including weekends and overnight, and to be deployed for emergencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general IT systems.
