Cloud Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Architect to design, deploy and secure cloud‑based systems within Commercial Cloud (CC) and Government Community Cloud (GCC) environments. The role focuses on implementing robust security controls, DevOps automation and ensuring compliance with government IT policies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architectures using cloud‑native patterns and container management, with a strong emphasis on security best practices.
• Develop, deploy and maintain cloud solutions, servers, storage and network infrastructure in line with IM8 policies and GCC/CC guidelines.
• Configure, upgrade and monitor cloud resources, applying security controls, network boundary controls and automation tools.
• Collaborate with Cloud Service Providers to improve security posture and resolve complex security issues.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and set up CI/CD pipelines, integrating security automation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives for end‑to‑end DevOps implementations and support Agile project delivery.
• Produce technical documentation, user guides and security‑focused operational procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science or a related field.
• 8–15 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure and security.
• Proven experience designing and managing secure AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of government cloud compliance and security standards.
