Cloud DevOps Automation Engineer

About the role

The Cloud DevOps Automation Engineer will design and operate automation‑first cloud platforms on AWS. This role bridges infrastructure, platform engineering, and developer experience to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient services through code‑driven processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end automation frameworks for AWS infrastructure, EKS platforms, and application delivery.
• Own and operate multi‑account AWS environments using AWS Control Tower, AFT, and CFCT.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and self‑service portals via Backstage.
• Automate provisioning of VPCs, EC2, EKS clusters, subnets, routing, and security groups.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules, CloudFormation stacks, and AFT/CFCT pipelines.
• Implement Helm‑based deployments and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux for Kubernetes workloads.
• Automate cluster upgrades, scaling policies, secrets management, and failure recovery.

Required profile

• Proven experience building automation‑driven cloud platforms on AWS.
• Strong background in infrastructure as code and multi‑account governance.
• Ability to create reusable scaffolds and templates that are fully version‑controlled and auditable.
• Focus on eliminating manual operations and improving deployment speed, consistency, and reliability.
